I had two very young kids and two jobs; my self employed business (Makeup, PMU, lash lifts, brow laminations, nails etc) and I worked part time for LandRover as a receptionist. I worked long hours, with no boundaries, saying yes to any work that came in.
I loved my business but I was unhappy, burnt out, forever feeling like I didn’t have enough time or money.
Covid hit and it gave me the opportunity to re-evaluate what I wanted from my life. Did I want to continue on this way, being a stressed out, short tempered wife and Mum or did I want to start enjoying life and how I made my money?Â
I found myself wanting to get a new tattoo (because that's what we do when we're stressed and need pick me up!) and I was finding all these gorgeous fine line designs. I fell in love, got a tattoo and when I was watching the artist I realised very quickly that much of the equipment and technique looked familiar. It was everything I already knew as a permanent makeup artist!
Fast forward 3 months and I'd been doing my research. I too, found an online course. I took it, loved it and spent HOURS practising on fake skin at home. I was just obsessed. Any spare minute I had, I was on a pad. I put myself out there, took any models I could and ran with it.
3 years on and my life is very different. I work 4 days a week, mostly within school hours and I now run a 6 figure business. My husband is looking to retire at just 41 because he can. My work is in demand, I have the most loyal clients and repeat business like you wouldn't believe. And I was just like you. I wasn't a fully booked PMU artist but I was a good one. I didn't take art at school and I couldn't draw a face or an animal to save my life! But I can trace, I can line and I can see the small details that others can't.
Fine Line Tattoos have been the making of me and I just know they will do the same for you.
